 God is funny

His ways are not our ways

Just ask Joseph

Who was sold by his brothers

And later thrown into the prison 

But he became the saviour of his family

When they were hungry and famine hit

Or ask Moses who was a stammerer

Hot tempered, and a murderer

But God used him to give the Israelites freedom from slavery

And lead them across the Red Sea in victory 

Ask David, a young teenager

Overlooked and left to tend the sheep

Yet God choose him, anointed him and used him to defeat

Wicked and sinful nations

God is funny

Jonah thought he could run away

From his assignment 

Get on a boat and go the opposite way.

But the fish had his own assignment 

To put Jonah back on the right place.

What of Shedrach, Meshack and Abednigo.

Who were thrown into the fiery furnace by their enemies

But God turned it into the first ever sauna

And His presence was there with them

Or ask Daniel who was thrown into the Lion’s den.

But because of his faith in God,He found zen

And had a good night’s rest even in the midst of hungry lions

Indeed, God’s ways  are not our ways

Do not limit or underestimate God.

God uses the foolish to bring down the wise.

The poor to show the rich that all is vanity.

And the weak to show the strong that true strength comes from Him alone.
